Faenza icons is a Gnome icon theme provides monochromatic icons for panels, toolbars and buttons and colourful squared icons for devices, applications, folder, files and Gnome menu items. This simple tutorial is going to show you how to install Faenza icon theme 1.2 in Ubuntu using PPA.
To get started:
Open Ubuntu Software Center, navigate to Edit -> Software Sources… -> Other Software tab. Click Add button and type in following code to add PPA. There’re two PPAs that provides Faenza icons for Ubuntu 12.10, 12.04, 11.10, 11.04, and 10.04. Choose one:
After adding PPA, hit Ctrl+Alt+T, copy and paste the 2 commands into terminal to update and install:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme
To enable Faenza icons theme:
Search for and install gnome tweak tool in Ubuntu Software Center. Then open it from the dash, at theme tab, choose faenza as icon theme.
